출3:1-6

모세는 미디안 제사장인 그의 장인 이드로의 양 떼를 치는 목자가 되었다. 그가 양 떼를 몰고 광야를 지나서 하나님의 산 호렙으로 갔을 때에, 거기에서 주님의 천사가 떨기 가운데서 이는 불꽃으로 그에게 나타났다. 그가 보니, 떨기에 불이 붙는데도, 그 떨기가 타서 없어지지 않았다. 모세는, 이 놀라운 광경을 좀 더 자세히 보고, 어째서 그 떨기가 불에 타지 않는지를 알아 보아야 하겠다고 생각하였다. 모세가 그것을 보려고 오는 것을 보시고, 하나님이 떨기 가운데서 "모세야, 모세야!" 하고 그를 부르셨다. 모세가 대답하였다. "예, 제가 여기에 있습니다." 하나님이 말씀하셨다. "이리로 가까이 오지 말아라. 네가 서 있는 곳은 거룩한 땅이니, 너는 신을 벗어라." 하나님이 또 말씀하셨다. "나는 너의 조상의 하나님, 곧 아브라함의 하나님, 이삭의 하나님, 야곱의 하나님이다." 모세는 하나님을 뵙기가 두려워서, 얼굴을 가렸다.

Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian; he led his flock beyond the wilderness, and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of a bush; he looked, and the bush was blazing, yet it was not consumed. Then Moses said, ‘I must turn aside and look at this great sight, and see why the bush is not burned up.’ When the Lord saw that he had turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, ‘Moses, Moses!’ And he said, ‘Here I am.’ Then he said, ‘Come no closer! Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.’ He said further, ‘I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God.

엡4:21-24

여러분이 예수 안에 있는 진리대로 그분에 관해서 듣고, 또 그분 안에서 가르침을 받았으면, 여러분은 지난날의 생활 방식대로 허망한 욕정을 따라 살다가 썩어 없어질 그 옛 사람을 벗어버리고, 마음의 영을 새롭게 하여, 하나님의 형상을 따라 참 의로움과 참 거룩함으로 지으심을 받은 새 사람을 입으십시오.

For surely you have heard about him and were taught in him, as truth is in Jesus. You were taught to put away your former way of life, your old self, corrupt and deluded by its lusts, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24and to clothe yourselves with the new self, created according to the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
