부전자전(父傳子傳), 비인부전(非人不傳) (요10:22-30(39); 마7:6)

예루살렘은 성전 봉헌절이 되었는데, 때는 겨울이었다. 예수께서는 성전 경내에 있는 솔로몬 주랑을 거닐고 계셨다. 그 때에 유대 사람들은 예수를 둘러싸고 말하였다. "당신은 언제까지 우리의 마음을 졸이게 하시렵니까? 당신이 그리스도이면 그렇다고 분명하게 말하여 주십시오." 예수께서 그들에게 대답하셨다. "내가 너희에게 이미 말하였는데도, 너희가 믿지 않는다. 내가 내 아버지의 이름으로 하는 그 일들이 곧 나를 증언해 준다.

그런데 너희가 믿지 않는 것은, 너희가 내 양이 아니기 때문이다. 내 양들은 내 목소리를 알아듣는다. 나는 내 양들을 알고, 내 양들은 나를 따른다. 나는 그들에게 영생을 준다. 그들은 영원토록 멸망하지 아니할 것이요, 또 아무도 그들을 내 손에서 빼앗아 가지 못할 것이다. 그들을 나에게 주신 내 아버지는 만유보다도 더 크시다. 아무도 아버지의 손에서 그들을 빼앗아 가지 못한다. 나와 아버지는 하나이다."

It was the feast of the Dedication at Jerusalem; it was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in the portico of Solomon. So the Jews gathered round him and said to him, "How long will you keep us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly." Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness to me; but you do not believe, because you do not belong to my sheep. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me; and I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, and no one shall snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

I and the Father are one." (요10:22-30)

"거룩한 것을 개에게 주지 말고, 너희의 진주를 돼지 앞에 던지지 말아라. 그들이 발로 그것을 짓밟고, 되돌아서서, 너희를 물어뜯을지도 모른다."

"Do not give dogs what is holy; and do not throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under foot and turn to attack you.(마7:6)
