눅24:44-53

예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "내가 전에 너희와 함께 있을 때에 너희에게 말하기를, 모세의 율법과 예언서와 시편에 나를 두고 기록한 모든 일이 반드시 이루어져야 한다고 하였다."

그 때에 예수께서는 성경을 깨닫게 하시려고, 그들의 마음을 열어 주시고, 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "이렇게 기록되어 있다. 곧 '그리스도는 고난을 겪으시고, 사흘째 되는 날에 죽은 사람들 가운데서 살아나실 것이며, 그의 이름으로 죄사함을 받게 하는 회개가 모든 민족에게 전파될 것이다' 하였다. 예루살렘에서부터 시작하여 너희는 이 일의 증인이다.

[보아라,] 나는 내 아버지께서 약속하신 것을 너희에게 보낸다. 그러므로 너희는 위로부터 오는 능력을 입을 때까지, 이 성에 머물러 있어라."

그리고 예수께서는 그들을 [밖으로] 베다니까지 데리고 가서, 손을 들어 그들을 축복하셨다. 예수께서는 그들을 축복하시는 가운데, 그들에게서 떠나 하늘로 올라가셨다. 그들은 예수께 경배하고, 크게 기뻐하면서, 예루살렘으로 돌아가서, 하나님을 찬양하면서 날마다 성전에서 지냈다.

Then he said to them, "These are my words which I spoke to you, while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and the psalms must be fulfilled." Then he opened their minds to understand the scriptures, and said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, ] and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.

[49] And behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city, until you are clothed with power from on high." Then he led them out as far as Bethany, and lifting up his hands he blessed them. While he blessed them, he parted from them, and was carried up into heaven. And they returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple blessing God.

"데오빌로님, 나는 첫 번째 책에서 예수께서 행하시고 가르치신 모든 일을 다루었습니다. 거기에 나는, 예수께서 활동을 시작하신 때로부터 그가 택하신 사도들에게 성령을 통하여 지시를 내리시고 하늘로 올라가신 날까지 하신, 모든 일을 기록했습니다. 예수께서 고난을 받으신 뒤에, 자기가 살아 계심을 여러 가지 증거로 드러내셨습니다. 그는 사십 일 동안 그들에게 여러 차례 나타나시고, 하나님 나라에 관한 일들을 말씀하셨습니다. 예수께서 사도들과 함께 잡수실 때에 그들에게 이렇게 분부하셨습니다. "너희는 예루살렘을 떠나지 말고, 내게서 들은 아버지의 약속을 기다려라. 요한은 물로 세례를 주었으나, 너희는 여러 날이 되지 않아서 성령으로 세례를 받을 것이다." 사도들이 한 자리에 모였을 때에 예수께 여쭈었다. "주님, 주님께서 이스라엘에게 나라를 되찾아 주실 때가 바로 지금입니까?" 예수께서 그들에게 말씀하셨다. "때나 시기는 아버지께서 아버지의 권한으로 정하신 것이니, 너희가 알 바가 아니다.

그러나 성령이 너희에게 내리시면, 너희는 능력을 받고, 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아에서, 그리고 마침내 땅 끝에까지 이르러 내 증인이 될 것이다." 이 말씀을 하신 다음에, 그가 그들이 보는 앞에서 들려 올라가시니, 구름에 싸여서 보이지 않게 되었다. 예수께서 떠나가실 때에, 그들이 하늘을 쳐다보고 있는데, 갑자기 흰 옷을 입은 두 사람이 그들 곁에 서서 "갈릴리 사람들아, 어찌하여 하늘을 쳐다보면서 서 있느냐? 너희를 떠나서 하늘로 올라가신 이 예수는, 하늘로 올라가시는 것을 너희가 본 그대로 오실 것이다" 하고 말하였다.

In the first book, O The-oph'ilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach, until the day when he was taken up, after he had given commandment through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom he had chosen. To them he presented himself alive after his passion by many proofs, appearing to them during forty days, and speaking of the kingdom of God. ] And while staying with them he charged them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, which, he said, "you heard from me, for John baptized with water, but before many days you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit." So when they had come together, they asked him, "Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?"

He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Sama'ria and to the end of the earth." And when he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him out of their sight. And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white robes, and said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven."
